So here's the dilly yo!  I'm on the search for a job.  I finally finished my EMT course and received my certification and now I can't find a job.  How sucky!  Even after all this I found out that EMT's don't make diddley squat.  If I happen to get a job with AMR (American Medical Response-the main ambulence company out there) I'll only be starting at like $9.00 an hour.  Yes that's right I will be paid $9.00 an hour to save lives how bogus, especially considering I was offered a clerical job in the hospital running files for $15.00 an hour.  Something is a little wrong there.

There is an upside to all this madness though.  I've been able to sleep in every single day and do whatever I want.  It's been nice.  Although, I'm really ready to get a job, I'm restless.  On that note any of you who are reading this should give me a call because I'm a bum with plenty of free time.

Some exciting events are coming up though.  This weekend is our annual familiy gingerbread party.  You may be wondering what that heck that is.  Well I get together with all of my cousins and we decorate gingerbread houses.  It's a lot of fun.  You all should try it.  It's great bonding time and just plain fun to eat candy.  The weekend after that I'm going snowboarding with some of Chris's friends from dental school.  They will be done with part 1 of their boards and finals so that should be tons of fun.  And as we all know Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat so that'll be fun family time.

Until then I'm on the search for a job and looking for stuff to keep me occupied.  So leave me some suggestions on what you think I should do with my free time! :)

It's been a while since I've updated ya'll on what's going on in my life so here's the scoop....Graduation is right around the corner.  Yup Yup that's right June 20th I'll be outta Davis and on to more exciting things like EMT school.  I'm soo excited but scared at the same time.  Excited to graduate and excited to start EMT school but scared realizing I will soon be saving people's lives.  WoW that's crazy.  I was a lifeguard for a couple of summers but....I never really had to save anyone and if I did it was just grabbing a kid from the deep end no biggie.  Being an EMT is big time, but I'm sure it'll be a great experience.

But that is still a month away so I need to be thinking about things like the Jewel Concert I'll be going to on Friday.  I'm sooo excited.  She'll be singing stuff from her newest CD Jewel 03/04.  It should be interesting to see a different side of Jewel.  I'll let ya'll know how it is.  I'm sure it'll be awesome.

On a crappy note I left my headlights on the other night so my car battery is dead!  And no one has jumper cables.  What is wrong with you people??  Come on ...get with it and get some jumper cables so you can help me out and no ....I don't mean for you to go out and buy some MIKE...lol

Let's seee what else is new???  Oh yeah Kathleen had her baby and I'm soo excited to see him and her of course.  I'm going to visit her once I graduate to help her out with the baby and visit, since I haven't even seen her new house either.  Exciting stuff.

I have so much to look forward to in the next couple of months and so much to do with applications to P.A. school.  Wish me Luck

So I survived my midterms week of hell and did reasonably well on my embryology midterm!  YAY me!  This week is RA hell week.  I'm on call every night of this week including the weekend, oh well, at least I don't have any major school work.  Last weekend I went to Scandia with the crew. . . I had a lot of fun.  We golfed then tried out the batting cages.  Mad props to all those baseball players out there.  Damn!  I did the slow softball and, still, my hands were hurting and I could barely hit the ball haha!  But still.. . . I had fun.

The major thing I've been busy with is filling out my PA application!!!  How exciting, I know, but at the same time I'm not really getting my hopes too high.  I'm only applying to Samuel Merritt PA school this year and they only accept 36 people.  YIKES!  Not very many.  I'm sure there are people out there with a lot more experience but hey why not give it a shot.  Maybe they're looking for some young motivated student to diversify their population of old blahs!  haah....so I'm hoping!  So ya, I'm slowly plunking away and thinking of the one reason that made me want to be a PA.  I can't really think of a defining moment that changed my life, like I know they're looking for.

Other than that, graduation keeps creeping up closer and closer.  It's so exciting and scary all at the same time.  I can't believe I've made it so far so fast.  Time flies so remember to have fun - to all of you out there cramped in your room doing homework.

So this weekend was pretty fun.  I got to go home and celebrate my birthday with my family since I didn't go home last weekend.  We went out to dinner to my favorite mexican taqueria in Alameda mmmmm.  I got some new flip flops and a cool Labryinth shirt from Michele.  " I said ello".....For all of you out there who understand that....props to you!

I also got a card in the mail from Kathleen who is about to have her baby...either at the end of this month or the beginning of June.  She finally sent me a picture.  YAY!  She looks so cute, I'm really happy for her.

Then I helped my dad open our pool this weekend.  It was nice to be outside in the sun.  The weekend was going great until I realized how much I have to do this week and that it's all due on Thursday!!! ACK!!  :::pulls hair:::  This quarter has been a lot harder than I expected.  Anyways, I will survive.  Okay I'm off to sleep or do some work or something like that.

So as I was in the LRC today I was thinking.  Who in the heck invented the keyboard and why did they place the letters where they are?  Is it really some kind of logical organization???  If there is one I have no idea what it is.  If you were going to invent a keyboard would you place the letters like they are now???  NOPE I didn't think so.  Just a random thought, but an interesting one to puzzle you for the day.  Anyways, I'm finally going to get rid of this damn physiology lab report that's been sitting on my shoulders for two weeks.  I can finally breathe easy for a day before starting another one for embryology.  Man what a hectic last quarter.  I know some people only taking one class and just chillin' all day long.  I guess since I'm busy the time will pass by faster??? or so they say.  Ok that's all for today.  Maybe once I'm done with class at 8 tonight I'll do something fun.  Like go out to dinner or watch Pulp Fiction like I have been meaning to do.  Yay it's almost the weekend.  Yippie Skippie!
